About me
I’m Alex, an award-winning documentary filmmaker & cinematographer based in Cornwall.
I specialise in creating impactful and inspiring environmental documentaries that aim to not only educate, but empower audiences too. I believe that all of our actions, no matter how big or small, can have the power to make ripples… and, when you make ripples, you sometimes make waves.
Cornwall is my home and a source of great inspiration to me and my filmmaking. This can be seen best in my recent feature length documentary project, The Tales Of Cetus, which follows artists and environmentalists in their fight against plastic pollution.
Over the years, I have worked with some incredible organisations and presenters to help deliver important messaging about the issues the world is facing; including Greenpeace, Age UK, Sea Cadets, Scouts and the NHS Green Social Prescribing programme.
My work has won awards and received international recognition; including at film festivals such as The British Documentary Film Festival, Bolton Film Festival, London Eco Film Festival, Climate Action Film Festival and with the Royal Television Society.
As well as working as a documentary filmmaker, I take on freelance and corporate work as a self-shooting dp, cinematographer, camera operator and drone operator. I work across the South-West of the UK, but also across the rest of the country and internationally too.
